Who we are
Kevin Lucano Real Estate is the licensed real estate practice of Kevin Lucano, REALTOR®, DRE #02430847, with Windermere Signature Properties, serving the Greater Sacramento Region. This policy explains what information we collect through kevinlucanore.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.
This website is for people who want to know what their home is worth, and for people thinking about buying one. Kevin also runs a separate property acquisition business, Lucano Buys Houses, which buys houses directly as a principal. That business has its own website and its own privacy policy. This policy covers kevinlucanore.com and the licensed practice, and it does not cover a transaction you enter into directly with Lucano Buys Houses.

The short version
- We collect what you type into our forms and what your browser sends us automatically.
- We use it to answer the question you asked and to talk with you about it.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not hand it to other companies so they can market to you.
- You can ask us what we have, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or tell us to stop contacting you.
- We use a small amount of advertising and analytics technology, and you can turn most of it off.
Information you give us
When you request a home value, ask about buying, or send us a question, we collect:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- The property address and its general condition
- Whether the property is owner occupied, tenant occupied, or vacant
- Your intended timeline, what matters most to you, and how you would prefer to buy or sell
- Anything else you choose to write in the free text field
When you call or email us, we keep a record of that conversation so we can follow up properly.
Information we collect automatically
Like most websites, ours records some technical information when you visit:
- IP address, browser type, device type, and screen size
- The pages you viewed and how long you stayed
- The site or advertisement that brought you here, including campaign parameters such as utm_source and utm_campaign
- Cookie identifiers and similar tokens
We use this to understand which pages help people and which ones do not, and to measure whether our advertising is working.
Why we use it
- To prepare the comparative market analysis or the other answer you asked for
- To contact you by phone, text, or email about your request
- To talk through your options with you, including listing, buying, and the separate direct purchase route where it fits
- To keep records of what we told you and what you agreed to
- To run and improve the website and our advertising
- To meet our legal, tax, recordkeeping, and licensing obligations
- To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive submissions
We only send marketing messages where we have your consent, and every message tells you how to stop receiving them.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only in these situations:
- Service providers who work for us under contract, including our web host, our email delivery provider, and our analytics and advertising providers
- Advertising platforms, in a limited and de-identified way, so we can measure which campaigns produce inquiries
- Professional advisers such as our attorney, accountant, and title and escrow partners, when needed for a transaction you asked about
- A lender, a cooperating broker, or another party to a possible transaction if a sale moves toward closing, and only as needed to complete it
- Government agencies, courts, or law enforcement when the law requires it, or when we need to protect our rights or someone’s safety
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties so that those third parties can market their own products or services to you.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes: keeping the site working, measuring traffic, and measuring advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. Blocking cookies may make our advertising measurement less accurate, which affects us, not you.
How we respond to browser privacy signals
Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal, and some send the Global Privacy Control. Our site does not currently change its behavior in response to those signals, because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the first place. If that ever changes, we will honor those signals and update this policy.
Other companies may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites when you use our site. Those companies have their own privacy policies, and we do not control them.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not lead to a transaction: we keep them for 24 months after our last contact, and then delete them
- Records connected to an actual sale or purchase: as long as tax, real estate, and licensing rules require
- Website analytics: as long as our analytics provider retains it under our configuration
When we no longer need something, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Your California privacy rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we have about you and where it came from
- Give you a copy of it
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete it, subject to records we are legally required to keep
- Stop sending you marketing messages
To make a request, call us at 916-582-4076 or email us at Kevin@CallKevinRE.com. We will confirm we received your request and respond within 45 days. You do not need an account with us to make a request, and we will not charge you for a reasonable one.
We will ask you to verify your identity before we release information, so that we do not hand your file to someone impersonating you. If you use an authorized agent, we may ask for written permission from you.
We will not punish you for exercising any of these rights. That means we will not refuse to answer your question, offer you different terms, or provide a lower level of service because you asked about your data.
California’s Shine the Light law (Civil Code section 1798.83) lets customers ask what personal information a business disclosed to third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing during the previous year. We do not disclose personal information for that purpose, so there is nothing for us to report, but you may still contact us with the request.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections, access controls, and limiting who inside our operation can see your file. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as California law requires.
Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. If the change significantly affects how we use information you already gave us, we will tell you by email or by a clear notice on the site before it takes effect.
